ESSA Secondary Schools Team Relays Finals The National Schools Swimming Event took place on Saturday 22nd November at the Olympic Pool in London. had qualified for the event. They finished 2nd in their heat, qualifying 5th fastest overall, knocking 5 seconds off their qualifying time but in a Four Kimberley students, 50m pool. Ambassador. The morning started with a presentation on how important R.E. is in everyday life with speeches from a range of people, such as councillors and current R.E. Ambassadors for other schools. One of the speeches that stuck in our minds, was the one given by the Forest ground chaplain. He said that he spoke to all members of the Forest ground, religious or not. After a delicious meal of jacket potatoes, we discussed about becoming R.E. Ambassadors for our school. We decided on a plan of action and are looking forward to the future. Claire Collins & Eliza Breeton very proud (The Boys High School were also in this event but failed on the day to qualify for the final). We were beaten on the day by some very good schools who specialise in sports however, there is every chance that the school could do even better next year as three of the boys are Year 7s. R.E.
