This year the school joined forces with Sainsbur
to boost the fund raising efforts. Sixth Formers sold
merchandise and Sainsbury’s very kindly donated lots o

British Ice Off! Money was also raised through various s
activities including a staff versus sixth form football match, d
which students were able to buy raffle tickets for a foot
signed by the Nottingham Forest team. There were cake (with
large number of really impressive, beautifully decorated cakes
provided by our own catering team) and sweet sales, hot dogs,
a tombola stall, a guess the teacher as a baby competition, leg
waxing and many other fun money raising activities. During
the lunchtime, students were able to throw shaving
foam pies at teachers in the stocks as well as
watch staff ice cakes whilst blind-folded.
Students also watched and listened to
an Open Mic concert which was
opened by Mr Clegg, singing
superbly whilst accompanying
himself on the guitar. Sixth
Formers dressed up in fancy
dress, as did many of the
staff, which all added to the
fun aspects of the day.
The weather was kind to us
and a good day was had
by all!
