Henry Winkler was born on October 30, 1939 in Manhattan New York his parents Llsa Anna Maria and Harry Irving Winkler were Jewish immigrants who avoided the German Holocaust, moving to the US in 1939. Henry grew with a high level of low self-esteem. Throughout elementary and high school he struggled with academics because he had Dyslexia. His acting started at eighth grade when he played the role of Billy Budd in the school play. When he graduated at Mcburney High school he was able to incorporate his learning disability and succeed in higher education. Henry Winkler was cast in ABC series which was set in 1950s it was called Happy Days.
