Rumor has it the band is now recording new tracks for a second album set to be released sometime this year. Any truth to those rumors?

Ryan: The album was set to be released sometime late last year. So at this rate who the hell knows! Ha ha! All I can tell you is we are taking our time to get it right. Or that’s what I keep telling myself.

The tracks on the Goldwing debut were all inspired by or named after films. Will there be a similar inspiration or themes on the new album?

Ryan: The first record was more a reflection of me playing songs on acoustic, and then great players coming in after the fact to fill out "my sound." This new record is a reflection of three years playing together as a band, and finding "our sound." This record will be nothing like the first record.

According to the band bio on your website and facebook page, and I quote:

"It is almost certain that his(Ryan's)current struggles will yield a new progressive music with a message that will resonate with all lovers of music."

Can you elaborate on what those struggles are?

Aidan: I've seen Ryan be physically sick for hours, then put on the show of a lifetime...then promptly get sick again.

Ryan: Aidan, have you ever considered that once we get onstage, I'm faced away from you. Once the show's over, so is that solace.

Ryan wrote all the songs on the first Goldwing album. Will there be contributions from other members of the band on the new album?

Ryan: With a group of guys I respect this much musically, it would be foolish not to make this a group effort from now on.

Aidan: I quit.

This is a bit off topic, but recently there has been an uproar from a Canadian band from the 70's , called 'Teaze' that are after a West Virginia band using the same name. I came across another band called 'Goldwing' from Atlanta, Georgia. Is this something that you aware of and are there any concerns as far any copyright infringements go?

Ryan: Yeah, we already sued that asshole from the back of the room. Thanks for bringing for that full circle, Randy!

You'll be performing at this years Friends Of The Wolfe Island Music festival- playing at the Mansion in Downtown Kingston on July 28th. Now, is this festival a part of the original Wolfe Island Festival which, to my understanding, was cancelled this year?

Ryan: I was asked to play one of the four fundraisers, and I've always wanted to play the actual Wolfe Island Music Festival. Anything we can do to get in their good graces, I'm all for it.

Listeners and readers have a chance to get a valuable souvenier, a t-shirt celebrating the 3rd anniversary of the first ever Goldwing show. Where can they get them and how much?

Ryan: We actually printed four designs; male and female versions of the new, Randy-approved Goldwing logo, and two movie parodies I drew as cartoons with a bit of a Goldwing twist.

Nick: They're BEAUTEOUS!

Jeebs: Add us on Facebook for orders, or come to the show and let's make a deal. Wayyyne Brady!

Ryan: G-OOOO-LD RUSH!

Besides the excitement of a possible new album and the Friends Of The Wolfe Island Music Festival, what else in store for Goldwing for 2016?

Ryan: I think most of all, we're pumped to be asked back to MacKinnon Brothers "Back to the Farm" Festival. (Sunday, Aug. 21st). Last year I think I had a 3 day hangover.

Nick: This year, they limited us to one mini-keg.

Ryan: DAMMIT!
