Comedian Russell Peters has joined Ed Helms and Amanda Seyfried in the film The Clapper. Dito Montiel is writing and directing the comedy with Helms and Mike Falbo producing through their Pacific Electric production company. The movie follows a professional “infomercial clapper” who gets plucked by a late-night talk show to host his own TV series. The 15 minutes of fame end up costing him his job, as well as a budding relationship with a girl who works at a gas station. Peters was most recently voiced the character Rocky the Rhino in Disney’s The Jungle Book. Russell Peters Cedric the Entertainer Cedric the Entertainer has landed a guest-starring role on Superior Donuts, it has been confirmed. Ced has been tapped to play Jerome Wicks, the father of Jermaine Fowler’s Franco Wicks. Jerome is a blue-collar, tough-love kind of parent who always scoffed at his son’s artistic ambitions. When he shows up at Franco’s first art show, he accuses Arthur (Judd Hirsch) of encouraging Franco’s unrealistic dreams. Cedric the Entertainer, whose TV credits also include The Soul Man, Hot in Cleveland, and 2 Broke Girls, will appear in an episode slated for May. 24 Jermaine Fowler
