The Ghent Review Volume1, Number 1, summer 2016

The Ghent Review Vol 1, number 1 – summer 2016 Language alone can never make a poem. It is only when it is allied to and in the service of vision and epiphany that it becomes more than the sum of itself. Vision is general perspective, epiphany is the particular insight. The first is all pervading (and therefore timeless) while the second is specific to time. (which in turn is added to the general perspective). The one accumulates into the other. A new language (which way well seem the old language) is formed. The process is unending and if it is stifled then all is sterile words of no value nor imbuing power.
