ANDREW “BEEF” JOHNSTON JOINS AUDEMARS PIGUET
Audemars Piguet expands its Dream Team of golf
ambassadors by adding one of the best personalities in golf:
Andrew Johnston.
Affectionately referred to as Beef, he has become a cult-
figure at tour events, including on the PGA Tour which he
recently joined, with huge crowd followings. The 27-year old
Englishman’s authenticity, unique sense of humour and look
help him stand out from other professional golfers.
Beef won the Challenge Tour Rankings in 2014 thanks
to two victories that season and made his European Tour
breakthrough in April 2016 when he won the Open de
España. A tie for eighth at the Open in July 2016 brought him
to the attention of golf fans everywhere.
All the players in our stable have unique personalities and he
is definitely a breath of fresh air!”.
Beef joins Byeong Hun An, Darren Clarke, Paul Dunne,
Branden Grace, Emiliano Grillo, Miguel Ángel Jiménez,
Romain Langasque, Renato Paratore, Ian Poulter, Henrik
Stenson, Andy Sullivan, Peter Uihlein, Lee Westwood, Bernd
Wiesberger and Danny Willett in the Dream Team of AP golf
ambassadors.
Like all of them, Beef wears the AP logo on his sleeve and
sports the brand’s iconic model on his wrist: the Royal Oak
Chronograph. He perfectly embodies Audemars Piguet’s
philosophy “To break the rules, you must first master them”.
The man with the big beard and bigger personality catches
headlines with his entertaining interviews.
When meeting Beef at the Audemars Piguet Golf Invitational
in Dubai last November, the brand’s Chief Executive Officer
François-Henry Bennahmias said: “I was immediately
seduced by his infectious smile and enthusiasm for the game.
