Several members of the Kappa Delta Chi, Inc. national leadership attended the 40th annual meeting of The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors that was held November 30 - December 3, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts.

AFA provides exceptional experiences, a vibrant community, and essential resources for the success of fraternity/sorority advisors. With an ongoing commitment to the professional development of its members, AFA has a deep appreciation of both academic and applied research that examines the entire spectrum of the fraternity/sorority experience and the advising profession. As well as a commitment to collaborations within and between the higher education and interfraternal communities. Through programs and meetings, publication networking opportunities, and other resources, AFA is the leading voice in aligning the fraternity/sorority and higher education experiences.

Several sisters where in attendance including: VP of Collegate Affairs, Veronica Lucena ([email protected]); Chapter Development Officer, Kathaleeya Garcia ([email protected]); External Recuritment Officer, Claudia Salinas ([email protected]); Graduation Membership Education Officer, Evoanna Kelley ([email protected]) ; and Colony Development Officer, Melanie Castro ([email protected]). In additon sister Alicia Rason of the Pi chapter attended the event as well.

Several members of sororities and fraternities from across the nation attended to share knowledge from their perspective

schools and gain information to take back to their perspective schools and greek organization. Some of that information includes: best and worst recruitment videos, hazing prevention, and much more. Sisters where able to network with other greek organization professionals and gain knowledge that they will be able to bring back to the sisterhood.
