- West Texas National Bank gave a $5,000 grant to The John Ben Shepperd Pubiic Leadership Institute to collaboarte on K-12 Financial Leadership training

Odessa College

- One of only 38 community colleges in the U.S. , the college was awarded a grant from Achieving the Dream, a national community college reform network

-OC to offer college experience to middle schoolers

- Scholars in Progress (SIP) students completed a two-week summer camp based on the STEAM theme
