Q8. With the companies’ charitable spirit, are there any new philanthropic projects in store for 2016?

Sean Moore, Branch Manager of Odessa, is committed to making a difference in a big way in 2016. Standard Sales in partnership with the Permian Basin Home Builders Association, Benchmark Mortgage, Permian Homes, Hearthstone Homes, Atmos and others will come together to build two new homes for wounded veterans as part of the Operation Finally Home Program. Operation Finally Home is a national nonprofit organization that brings together homebuilders, building suppliers and supporters to provide custom-built, mortgage-free homes for American’s wounded, ill and injured veterans and their families.

Moore has a heart for veterans and wants to honor their service and sacrifice. Standard Sales will be looking for community support for this project in 2016. The project is expected to cost $500,000-$600,000 for two homes and will be made possible through a unique network of supporters. From monetary donations, donated building materials to in-kind labor and gifted land, the projects are driven by industry and community support. For anyone interested, look to hear more about this project in the future and how the business community can be a part of making these two homes a reality for wounded veterans.
