I have lived in Scotland for thirty two years and was born in Cumbria near the Lake District so you can imagine where a lot of the inspiration has come from . I paint mainly in oil in an ethereal manner painting from light to dark , none of my work is of somewhere particular it ’ s all in my head ; I want the viewer to be transported to some place resembling or would like to find . Because I work outdoors every day I am seeing and feeling weather changes and moods especially if its stormy I seem to have the ability to remember the light .
