Zaback , Szewczul Clinch 2016 Player of the Year Honors

Zach Zaback of TPC River Highlands and Dave Szewczul of Tunxis Plantation Country Club wrapped up their respective CSGA Player of the Year honors . Zaback , who used wins at both the Russell C . Palmer Cup and the Connecticut Amateur to jump out to a big lead early in the season , was able to hold on to win his second Dick Tettelbach Player of the Year title by 280 points . For Szewczul , wins at both the Connecticut Senior Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championship solidified his record seventh Dick Siderowf Senior Player of the Year title by 656 points over Bill Hermanson of Black Hall Club .
