Road to Pinehurst

or sixty-two amateur teams, the road to Pinehurst and the 3rd U.S.
Four-Ball Championship began at Black Hall Club, where the low three
teams successfully advanced to the championship. The team of Taylor
Fontaine of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and Kevin Josephson of Unionville,
Connecticut took home medalist honors, firing a blistering round of 66 that
included a double bogey on their 16th hole. Josephson, the 2014 Connecticut
Amateur finalist, was one of three Connecticut players to advance, and will be
joined by Eric Dietrich of Cheshire, Conn. and Tommy McDonagh of Norwalk,
Conn., the 2006 and 2011 Connecticut Amateur Champion.
The 2017 U.S. Four-Ball Championship begins May 27th at Pinehurst
Resort & Country Club in North Carolina. After 36 holes of stroke play, the
low 32 teams advance to match play, with a 36-hole final to determine the
champion.
