History in the Making
For the first time in the seventy-one year history of the tournament, Madison
Country Club will open its doors to the state’s top senior amateur golfers for
the 71st Connecticut Senior Amateur Championship. Originally founded in
1900, the present course was designed by renowned architect Willie Park, Jr.
The course recently underwent an extensive renovation by Brian Silva in the
fall of 2014, and the Senior Amateur will mark the first amateur championship
conducted on the new course since re-opening in June of 2015.
