Watch Your Posture!

T
he average American works 40 hours a week, which is nearly 25% of his or her hours in
a week. With computer work becoming more the norm, people are developing a posture
with excessive thoracic kyphosis, also known as a hunched back. Hours upon hours of
sitting in front of a computer may seem harmless, however it does alter your posture. With
increased thoracic kyphosis, you may notice that the turn in the backswing and follow through
will be significantly reduced, compromising distance. Ultimately, you can see that these changes
in posture will negatively impact your golf game.
Although it is tough to reconcile years of poor posture, here are exercises you can do during your
long hours at the office to help reduce your risk of developing postural deficits.
