Zach Zaback followed up his win at the 112th Connecticut Amateur
with a top-15 finish at the 80th Connecticut Open Championship,
shooting rounds of 70-71-70 for a one over-par total.
What’s Left?
With only five CSGA championships left on the schedule, players hoping to catch Zaback will have to
make their move quickly. Among the chasers with a chance to overtake the top spot include Dave
Szewczul, who is the only player in the top 10 that will be competing in both the Connecticut Public
Links Championship and U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. Currently in 9th place with 324 points,
a win at the Connecticut Public Links would give Szewczul 175 points, while a win at the U.S. Senior
Amateur would give him 400 points.
