“We have a strong threesome in Kevin,
Peter and David,” said CSGA Executive Director,
Mike Moraghan who will serve as Team Captain
for the Connecticut squad. “These are three
outstanding competitors who have proven
themselves at a very high level. I expect we’ll
be confident and well prepared going into the
Championship.”
The CSGA selects the team based upon
points earned in tournament competition
accumulated over a two-year period. Ben Day
of New Haven Country Club has been named
first alternate to the team and Phil Perry of
Black Hall Club is the second alternate.

About the Course:
The Pete Dye Course at the French Lick (Ind.)
Resort opened in 2009 and just a year later hosted
its first major event, the PGA Professional National
Championship. Located in the southern Indiana
hills, the layout sits atop Mount Aerie, one of the
state’s highest points. Dye incorporated the natural
elevation changes into his design, which provides
panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Since then, it has hosted the 2012 Big Ten Men’s
Golf Championship, won by the University of
Illinois, and will serve as host in 2013 and 2014.
For the 2014 Men’s State Team Championship, the
Dye Course will measure 6,891 yards and play to a
par of 72.
