Lastly, there are two general “types” of practice. Block practice is where you perform the same task over and over. This might be hitting the same 10-foot putt a number of times in a row, or rolling balls down a yardstick until you can do it properly 20 times in a row. Random practice is simply not hitting the same shot twice in a row. You might have a series of putts that you hit in order a few times, as in the Four Points drill, or where you never hit the same putt twice, as in the Gauntlet.
