Dr. Bob Ruby, Jr., CSGA Team Captain
W
ith more than five decades of playing
competitive golf on his resume, there
is no disputing that Dr. Bob Ruby, Jr.
has a passion for the game of golf. But this passion
does not stop at competing in championship
tournaments; golf is also an opportunity to enjoy
time with friends and family as well as to grow his
already vast knowledge of the rules of the game.
Dr. Ruby, or as his friends know him, Dr.
Bob, has been able to attain some very significant
accomplishments through his years involved
with the game of golf that any person that calls
themselves a golfer would be happy to hang their
hat on. As a rules official, Dr. Ruby has worked at
more than twenty USGA championships, including
the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Country Club in
Ardmore, PA, and is currently a member of the
USGA Rules Committee. Dr. Ruby is also one of
very few people who can say they have achieved
the rare feat of a perfect score on the USGA Rules
Test.
As a player, Dr. Ruby has been able to enjoy
