Benjamin Day of New Haven CC ?red a round of four under-par 67 to claim medalist honors at the U.S. Mid-Amateur Quali?er at Wethers?eld Country Club. Day will head to the Country Club of Birmingham in Alabama with hopes of becoming the ?rst Connecticutborn player since Jerry Courville, Jr. to capture the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.
