High School Flags Perform in Aberdeen

The Burke High School Flag Corp performed at State B Boys' Basketball on March 17. They traveled to Aberdeen and performed at halftime during a 6:00 game. The team performed to the song "Just Like Fire" by Pink.
The flag team includes: Ryahna Schweigert, Nicolette Jeffords, Lahna Matucha, Madison Wischmann, Emily Stukel, Taylee Indahl, Santanya Matucha, Hanna Johnson, and Brianna Johnson.
"It was a great opportunity for us to show what we could do. I felt that we did really well and we definitely had lots of fun," said Sophomore, Emily Stukel.
"It was an amazing experience with all of the excitement of being able to perform in front of so many people," stated Junior, Santanya Matucha.
Burke Band and Choir Travel to Branson, MO

The Burke band and choir traveled to Branson, Missouri for their music trip. They left Burke on March 22, and arrived back to Burke on March 25.
Some activities they did while in Branson were: Riding the Ducks, eating at some of Branson's best restaurants, watching a show on the Branson Belle Showboat, watching the Shanghi Acrobats, going to Silver Dollar City, and both the band and choir performing.
The choir performed first at the Shanghi Theater. They performed 5 songs. The band then performed the next day at Silver Dollar City. They performed 5 songs also.
"It was lots of fun, and I would encourage everyone to go when they get the chance," commented Senior, Nicki Jeffords.
