III. Day Four…Evidence of Imminent Catastrophe
(Wherein our correspondent finds corroboration for earlier suspicions as to the tumult
teeming beneath the misleadingly placid façade
of a gallant and war-weary nation)

UPDATE -- Hydra, a small island in the placid waters of the Saronic Gulf... No one here seems
to have noticed that there are troubles on the mainland... or maybe they just don't care. No
motorized vehicles here, not even golf carts...I'm guessing they were confiscated for use by the
military...only donkeys have been left for transport...Again, nobody seems to have noticed, or
care...
• Jim: Watch those donkeys, They have memories like elephants.
• George: Any chance it's the compound of the evil H.Y.D.R.A. agency? Watch yourself. They gave
Captain America Hell...
• Gary Johnson: Speaking of donkeys and elephants, at least they're not voting for Trump...

DISPATCH 5: Back in Athens-- I continue to be appalled by the aching poverty in this
beautiful and beloved and sadly beleaguered city...The starving yet ever so cheerful peasantry
making do with whatever they can find to alleviate their grinding hunger...the pitiful leaves of
various fruits and flowers...that's right, not the fruit-- the LEAVES...Their drinks made from
tree sap!!!...
• Jan: So what are the prices like for you? Dollars going far? Did you take all cash with you or will
the ATM's work now?
• Gary Johnson: Exchange rate is great, prices phenomenal, ATMs working fine. War zones are
sadly underrated as vacation destinations…
