Curry Udon. I wasn't a foodie yet when I visited my Japanese American college girlfriend in Tokyo. I was more into the exoticism of Japan's esteemed traditions like its Samurai past and the glitz of its hyperpop future, than of its culinary traditions. I was so oblivious of all that Japan had to offer that my girlfriend chided me for continuing to order the same thing over and over again whenever we ate out - curry udon.
