As they walk along Windward Ave. John and Gloria appear to be a happy couple. They talk about the
character and John gives her the complete low down on how he wants this character to be. Gloria is
geared up about it. She tells John how she would do this and she would do that to bring out more in
the character.
Gloria has no acting experience at all except for lying to her parents. But John wants to see
how she handles under the camera.
Once they get to the site, the photographer is in a heated argument with a woman. John and
Gloria stand near and listen to what is happening. The woman tells the photographer, “I jus’ want
my money muthafucka. I had to pay outta pocket fo yo ass again.”
“Look. I’m gonna pay you.” The photographer says.
“Then pay me and stop fuckin’ ‘round wit me. I’m tired of yo shit Billy.”
Billy looks over and sees Gloria and John. He gestures to them, “I’ll be right with you.”
“No you won’t. No he won’t…You gon get me my money right here right now or I’m taking
the muthafuckin’ camera. You fuckin’ wit me Billy. I could be sellin’ pussy right now and I’m fuckin’
‘round here wit you. Get me my money Billy”
Billy begins to beg, “C’mon now Stacey, why you doin’ this to me now?”
“Oh I see. I’m the one that’s wrong? You sound like a washed up ho. Let me tell you
somethin’ you simple minded son-of-a-bitch. I’ve supplied your habit for too goddam long. I can’t
carry you no more. Fuck you! I want my money.”
“I think your photographer is in trouble.” John says to Gloria, watching all this and is pretty
amazed that this is going on about 100 feet or so from a police station. Billy and Stacey are going at
it now pretty good and loud.
“I don’t know about this now. I don’t know what to do?” Gloria says watching Billy picking
up a lens cap that Stacey slapped out of his hand.
“Just wait it out a moment and see where this goes.” John says trying to be a voice of reason.
And he adds, “Do you do drugs?”
“No. I smoke pot.” Gloria answers John while keeping an eye on the argument.
Stacey is pissed and tells Billy she is calling her brother.
“Yeah, we’ll see about this shit.
I’ll see how tough you talk when Germ gets here.”
Billy is pleading with Stacey to hold on but to no avail. Stacey tells her brother to get over
here quick. Billy looks at Gloria with sad eyes and says, “Gloria I’ll be with you in a minute. Just sit
tight.”
Stacey is standing with her hands on her hips looking towards Gloria and says, “Fuck that
bitch. Y’all ain’t getting’ shit done ‘round here ‘til I get my money.”
Gloria looks around, not even wanting to have eye-to-eye contact with this woman. She
thinks about this character John is looking for and this woman is tailor
