There is something magical about the scenery of
Halong Bay. The large rock formations, sleeping
giants, that remind me of something from a Saturday
afternoon adventure film. The weather is perfect as it
has been everyday, perfect if you don’t mind the
humidity. As the boat navigates the bay we are
greeted by locals who come up on smaller craft plying
their catch of the day. The shrimp, just caught, looks
great, but we aren’t buying today. The house boats
create a floating city and I wonder what day to day
life would be like on the bay. Wish you could see the
country you once had to fight in; the way it looks
today in a time of peace.
Love,
Michael
