STAMP
Stamp Image By Nijst,
"well past 2 a.m. and determined to give me an authentic
Brussel’s night, Loïc and his best friend Anthony (unpictured)
took me to a dance party that was simply put- not there. After
an early start drinking Belgian beer, wine with dinner, oldtimey cocktails at their favorite spot, a disgusting kool-aid like
shot, several road beers and our girls long-since turned in, we
ended up here. This gigantic skate park, supposedly the site of
a massive rave was instead, completely deserted save a few late
night drinkers in their early 20's who turned out to be visiting
from Italy and clueless to the whereabouts of the party.
Anthony quizzed them in part French, part Italian trying to
figure out where to go as Loïc scaled above the half-pipe to
listen for the traces of drums intermittently pounding in the
distance. Loïc stopped and took this sip. minutes later, I'd say I
was ready to give up and turn in. minutes after that, we found
the party we were looking for. it was in a renovated church.
hours and hours later, we finally got home."
