Of Special Services News from the West Platte Education Foundation The West Platte Education Foundation recently received a Founder’s Lead Gift of $5,000 from J.E. Dunn Construction Company. This generous contribution will enable the foundation to move forward with its three main priorities – to offer college scholarships for deserving West Platte seniors, to offer financial support to teachers for particularly innovative educational initiatives, and to provide assistance with school-related supplies to students with financial needs. Thanks in large part to Dunn’s Lead Gift, the Foundation will offer two $1,000 college scholarships to West Platte seniors this spring. This Lead Gift challenges other area businesses and institutions to make similar commitments to the West Platte Education Foundation. With your help the Foundation will develop into a major force to promote high academic standards and innovative educational experiences. Support from the people of Weston and the surrounding community are critical to the Foundation’s future success. Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible. Why should I contribute to the Foundation?
