Miah definitely lives by the motto, “It is better to give than to receive.” For four years Miah has been an ambassador for several local charities, but that is just the tip of her love for others. For the last two years, she has played Santa’s helper in local malls and surprised veterans, elderly and families at the cash register by paying for over 30 purchases. Her favorite thing to do is Random Acts of Kindness, where she has left inspiring notes on windshields, brought meals to the homeless, given flowers to residents of a local senior center, randomly purchase people’s meals and that is just to name a few. Miah says she will never stop giving as the smiles and love she gets in return makes her heart bigger and more open to all! Miah's hope is that people see that they have the power and opportunity to make the world the place they want it to be.

Miah received her first Presidential Volunteer Service Award in Dallas,

TX in 2014 in the historic Hilton ballroom where John F. Kennedy gave

his last speech in 1963. After she received it, she immediately wanted

other kids to experience the joy that servicing others had given her and the opportunity to receive the PSVA. In 2015, her dream became a reality and Caring Crowns 4 A Cause was born. Caring Crowns 4 A Cause is a non profit that organizes service activities for volunteers in the Salt Lake City area. On a nationwide level they find service opportunities for those volunteers that may not know how and/or where to look. In addition they are an official certifying organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. All volunteers not only help better their local communities, but work towards being a recipient of the most prestigious volunteer award available. Miah’s volunteers range from ages 6-50 and are spread throughout the United States. She hopes to double her volunteers annually.
