It's April! That means blossoms on the trees, flowers beginning to awaken, Easter celebrations and (clearing my throat) my birthday.
April is a very special month for my family. While we do love the family gatherings and celebrations of life, one of the greatest days is April 1st.
My daughters enjoy April Fool's Day a little too much. They plan out pranks, giggle at their ingenius plans to "fake out" their parents, and in general they entertain ideas that would normally end with them being grounded.
Last year I was the unfortunate victim to a bucket of flour being dumped on my head from my oldest, Lilly. She patiently awaited in the loft until I was directly in her path of destruction as I walked towards our kitchen. She laughed so hard and it was too funny to get mad...I just turned around and walked back into the shower I had just got out of 5 minutes prior. Needless to say, flour on wet hair is messy.
Another favorite time for our family is the week of Easter. Each year our family tradition is to take our Rock-Crawler out to Moab, UT for the Annual Easter Jeep Safari. It is the event of the year! We enjoy camping and off-roading with our family and friends. Our group gets bigger each year as we share our passion with those around us. I'm giddy with excitement for this year's trip.
