The Future is Bright : This past fiscal year has been nothing short of miraculous and amazing ! The new facility has given us so much more space to carry out our programs . Our presence in the community is growing , with individuals stopping by for the first time to learn more about who we are and what we do . Our board of directors , staff and volunteers continue to be awestruck by our spacious new facility as it allows for all our programs to expand and flourish . God ’ s word tells us in Matthew 5:14-16 : “ We are a city set upon a hill and are to let our light shine .” We certainly believe God is allowing our light to shine brighter than even before . THANK YOU for being a part of the illumination !
ICAA : The 2015-16 school year was one of growth , as well as accountability . Since the year 2000 the LLH has been accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association ( ICAA ). Our five-year site visit was held in February of 2016 . ICAA brings to the LLH the outside witness of inspection and responsibility . Our accreditation allows us the opportunity to review our standards and assure we are on track with our mission . According to the scripture in Acts 2:22 ( NIV ) even Jesus was accredited . “ Fellow Israelites , listen to this : Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles , wonders and signs , which God did among you through him , as you yourselves know .” The ICAA site review team assessed our performance in 5 key areas of operation and we passed with high scores . We are excited to receive accreditation through 2021 and are looking forward to another visit this coming spring due to a “ substantive change ” which took place when we moved into our new expanded facility in August .
Let ’ s Finish This Tulsa : As an update on our renovation project , we are blessed to have the Tulsa community continuing to help us work towards our goal of $ 2.5 Million to remodel our older building . With this renovation we will have four enlarged classrooms , a second therapy gym , a multipurpose room , newly remodeled kitchen and a volunteer break area . We are delighted to report we currently have raised $ 975,000 of this goal . Although the waiting list continues to grow , once the renovation is completed , we will be able to serve approximately 140 children under our roof . You are making a difference in helping us meet the needs of these precious children .
