s part of its ongoing CLE Series, the Tax Law Section
has thus far held five seminars during the current
fiscal year. The first three seminars focused on tax
topics related to employee benefit plans and the last two
focused on state and local tax developments, ethics and
professionalism.
The CLE Series started on Thursday, August 28, 2013,
when Tax Law Section Sponsor Bernstein Global Wealth
Management hosted a luncheon at their offices to discuss
“Cash Balance Plans.” Bernstein Principal Ed Daly presided
over the discussion, which highlighted the opportunity to use
cash balance plans to build wealth. Cash balance plans are
