Stuart is a contemporary artist and elected
member of the New English Art Club. He studied
painting at the Royal Academy Schools and
Goldsmiths College. Awards include Brandler
Drawing Award, Openheim John Downs
Memorial Award, David Murray Landscape
Scholarship and the Winsor & Newton Award.
He has shown regularly with the New English
Art Club, Discerning Eye and the London Group,
as well as in the Royal Academy Summer
Exhibition. Other group exhibitions in London
include The Fine Art Society, Bankside, Mall
Galleries, Browse & Darby, New Grafton Gallery,
and John Jones. Group exhibitions outside
London include Cedar House Gallery (Surrey),
Royal West of England Gallery (Bristol), Ferens
Art Gallery (Hull), Usher Gallery (Lincoln), The
Lady Lode Arts Centre (Peterborough) and
Gainsborough House (Suffolk). Amongst solo
exhibitions are: Designs Gallery (Castle Douglas)
and Chelsea Arts Club (London).
Stuart has taught at Chelsea and Kensington
College, the Royal Academy Schools, the New
English Art Club School of Drawing, Goldsmith’s
College and The Surrey Institute for Art
and Design.
