Gordon Beswick and Harry Pye have
collaborated for over 10 years. Their animated
films have been screened at both Tate Britain
and Tate Modern. Last year their painting of
Margaret Thatcher featured on BBC News and
in the Evening Standard. Their work has
previously been auctioned at The Institute of
Contemporary Arts (ICA) and the Victoria &
Albert Museum, and exhibited at the Galeria
Thomas Cohn in Sao Paulo and at The Mall
Galleries in London.
80 years ago William Beveridge set up the organisation that is now
known as CARA. We have great respect for him and we are also fans
of Clement Attlee. Our painting is of William and Clement having a
meeting to discuss the Beveridge Report. We hope our painting goes
to a good home.
