Club Marine Launches New Feature Packed App Club Marine is Australia’s market leader in recreational boat insurance. We’re proud of that position and right now, we’re very excited about the launch of our feature-rich Club Marine App. It’s bound to be the go-to app for everyone who loves boating ... because it’s a perfect example of why ‘boating’s just better with Club Marine’. “As a first for the marine industry and as a unique service to our members, the Club Marine App combines both fun and function into one easy to use mobile app,” said Club Marine CEO Simon McLean. “Free access to severe weather alerts will help protect our members on and off the water, while features like the Trip Planner and quick access to policy information make it easier for members. It’s all part of our commitment to supporting recreational boating and helping everyone get the most out of their boating experience.” This is no ordinary app – it’s packed with features that no boatie should be without. Severe weather alerts notify boaties of any impending weather events – on and off the water. Notifications can be received for the current location as well as up to four additional locations, like where the boat is moored – so if something is going to impact the boatie or their property, the app will advise them. With safety in mind, the Club Marine App puts important safety information and essential checklists on the user’s mobile device. The features have been designed for boaties of all levels of experience, enabling them to brush up on knowledge of navigation marks, polish their skipper’s briefing or just make sure they’ve done everything to make their boat safe and ready at the start or close of the season. On a practical front, the Club Marine App can display all of a member’s Club Marine insurance policy information, making it easy to quickly provide Proof of Insurance, lodge a claim on the go, renew or update their policy details, or even buy a new policy. There’s also a handy function that notifies the member when their policy is due for renewal. When it comes to preparing for the next outing, all the latest weather conditions including forecasts, tide times and wind conditions are easily accessible within the app. A trip planner will help boat lovers plan and keep records of all their exciting adventures, including itineraries and checklists, so they don’t forget a thing. And should things go wrong as they sometimes do, the Help Me function enables members to contact Club Marine Assist, a 24/7 service that provides advice, assistance, directions, information about marine service centres, a safe place to berth or refuel, and much more. Members can even call for emergency assistance, record important information about an incident or lodge a claim straight from the app. The app even lets users store important records, such as photos of the boat and equipment, licences and permits, and all essential information a boatie might need on the go. While non-members of Club Marine can also access the app for free, they won’t receive everything that is available to members. “We’re very pleased that Club Marine members and non-members alike can benefit from our free app. “Of course, our members receive additional features as one of the many benefits of being a Club Marine member. It’s just another reason to choose Australia’s market leader in pleasurecraft insurance,” said McLean. Helping you get more out of boating on and off the water The Club Marine App is proudly made by boaties for boaties. It has been designed in collaboration with some of Australia and New Zealand’s leading boating enthusiasts and Club Marine’s own team of marine safety and insurance specialists. Plus, the team at Australia’s leading marine lifestyle publication Club Marine Magazine has contributed a wealth of invaluable input. The Club Marine App is available for iOS and Android devices.
