Victoria
The majestic Greek revival building located
on West Commercial at Moody in Victoria
is a temple dedicated to Art. The Nave Museum is the only arts museum in the Crossroads area (the city of Victoria is known as
"The Crossroads" because of its location
within a two-hour drive of Corpus Christi,
Houston, San Antonio, and Austin). Designed by noted San Antonio architect Atlee
Ayers in 1932, it was built to serve as
a memorial to artist Royston
Nave.
