The Art League is doing a wonderful job of
promoting art throughout Matagorda County by
enhancing the public’s awareness and knowledge
of the Arts by offering classes and seminars.
Monthly receptions are held as well in which
different artists display their work. The Art League
also supports local artists with information and
through networking.
If you haven’t visited Bay City yet be prepared to
be charmed! The city boasts a lovely historic town
square which features a monthly market day event.
Held the third Saturday of each month Market Day
draws more than 100 vendors from across the state
and thousands of visitors. Also, be sure and drive
through some of the beautiful old neighborhoods
which surround the downtown.
Bay City is a lovely historic city filled with beauty. Must be why so many
talented artists reside there. So be sure to come and enjoy an unforgettable
afternoon of art and music. Catering will be by Franks Barbeque who will
be tempting your taste buds with his award winning recipes. A great blues
performer out of Austin, “My Buddy Todd” will provide the perfect music as
you sip and stroll. Featuring some outstanding works of art and a silent auction,
what better way could there possibly be to enjoy a beautiful spring afternoon?
