Pedagogical
Principles
(learning principles)
Shirley Gutkowski’s varied knowledge base
includes ways to help people learn. And people
learn best, not by sitting and listening, but by
laughing and moving.
Shirley’s courses have always had audience
members laughing, she’s engaging and finds a
funny way to bring concepts to life. New for 2014
was movement. Not big movements but a
chance to engage large muscles to release the
most physiological toxins, release endorphins and
other hormones. As we learn more about the proinflammatory effects of sitting, many audience
members will choose to stand during all or part of
the course.
And new for 2016 standing tables. The last two
rows of tables are replaced with high tops for
healthful standing for those who choose to stand
during the program or take a standing break.
Don’t leave your audiences in the hands of
anyone else.
