About the Work
This piece was written September 2012 and
inspired by travel.
About Eliza
I currently work in publishing and I live in
Minneapolis, where I enjoy the great writing,
running, and biking communities. In general, I try
to focus my poetry on topics that are close to my
heart, but that readers can relate to. One of these
topics is human interaction with the environment—
all things from dependence on the earth for
livelihood, to faith, to environmental degradation
and injustices, to ecofeminism. I am interested in
women-centered storytelling and in trying to use
poetry to twist perspective—any and all perspective.
