in the Place du Carrousel. It was built
between 1806 and 1808 to commemorate
Napoleon’s military victories of the previous
year. Charles Percier and Pierre François
Léonard Fontaine designed it.

bridge was built in the late 19th Century,
with a mechanism designed to raise the
bridge to allow for a smooth flow of river
traffic. Open to the public also, are tours of
the Victorian Engine Rooms and the Glass
Walkway.
