Travel Snapshots Steal Away to Oman! Old Town of Mutrah If you are in the Emirates for the summer, steal away to Oman. The Old Town of Mutrah was once the centre of commerce in Oman. This changed with the discovery of oil. Wake up in Paris, France! Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel This is a triumphal arch in Paris, located in the Place du Carrousel. It was built between 1806 and 1808 to commemorate Napoleon’s military victories of the previous year. Charles Percier and Pierre François Léonard Fontaine designed it. Get Captivated By London! The London Millennium Footbridge Stretching across the River Thames in the heart of the city, the 325m steel pedestrian bridge links the City of London at St Paul’s Cathedral to Tate Modern Gallery at Bankside. The Notre Dame Cathedral The Muscat Museum A spectacular view of the Muscat Gate Museum which explores the city’s history from its beginning to present day. The Notre-Dame of Paris set the standard for a new architecture called Gothic from the moment of its inception in the second half of the 12th century. It has been altered and restored over the course of eight centuries. Entry is free. Do not be discouraged if there is a long line. It moves really quickly. It is a definite must-see for anyone visiting Paris. Tower Bridge Arguably one of the most famous and beautiful bridges in the world, the iconic bridge was built in the late 19th Century, with a mechanism designed to raise the bridge to allow for a smooth flow of river traffic.
