Sharing Good Practice Finish Strong … end the school year on a high note! By Betina Fuentes O kay. You had a blast on Spring Break but now the end of the school year looms in front of you like a sandstorm. Take a deep breath and use these tips to make the end of the year as memorable and inspiring as the first two trimesters. Try a new strategy (or two) We just had a week of professional development and now it’s time to put it to some use. Go through those materials and integrate at least one new idea into your classroom. It could be a new idea for a starter, some new technology (check teacherled.com for some engaging interactive whiteboard games) or even a project to get your students engaged. Get out of the classroom This is the perfect time to take indoor field trips. Check your school’s policy on field trips, including pre-approved locations for quick planning, and get out! Use the opportunity to plan cross-curricular activities while you are on the trip and be sure to take lots of pictures.
