This series of photographs is one of many
that I have shot with Paula, my muse. They
were captured in Vienna in December 2014.
We have a tradition of setting up shoots
like this wherever we travel. As she is also
a photographer, we feed off of each other’s
creativity and energy.
The location was a beautiful atelier on the top
floor of an ornate residential block. An artist’s
loft-style apartment filled with curiosities,
books, plants and stories. Paula pushes
me to shoot from the heart and attempt to
capture her very soul. Each shoot feels like
a slice of adventure and serves as the best
kind of memory and document of our travels
together.
I wish to promote the ideology that
every woman is beautiful and should be
appreciated on her own terms, whatever
they may be. I am lucky enough to be able
to document this and share them in a format
that they can keep forever.
