Shorewood Freeman Park 6000 Eureka Road Freeman Park has much to offer visitors . It includes two playgrounds , two concessions , two picnic shelters , a variety of ball fields , soccer fields , wooded trails , grills , a sand volleyball court , a skating rink in the winter and connects to the regional trail . Badger Park 5745 Country Club Road Badger Park is located next to Shorewood Community & Event Center and City Hall . It includes a pirate-themed playground , picnic shelter , restrooms , drinking fountains , sports fields with artificial turf and tennis courts , which were redone with pickleball striping . Gideon Glen 5620 County Road 19 The park , which totals nearly 6 acres , is across from the Tonka Bay shopping center on County Road 19 . It offers a lengthy walking trail leading to a swamp and remainders of the “ big woods ” that once surrounded Lake Minnetonka . Visitors can walk through and admire the native trees , wildflowers , shrubs and grasses . Manor Park 20630 Manor Rd . Manor Park offers a playground , picnic shelter , tennis and sand volleyball courts , soccer and softball fields and provides a skating pond and warming house in the winter .
Tonka Bay Manitou Park 5418 County Road 19 Manitou Park boasts ballfields , a basketball court , a dog park in the hockey rink during the summer months , picnic areas and access to the regional trail . The park is currently undertaking a redesign . Old Orchard Park 4901 Manitou Rd . Old Orchard Park is located next to the Tonka Bay City Hall and features grills , picnic tables , swings and a large fishing pier . Visitors can rent dock spaces , boat slides and canoe racks . Wekota Beach Park West Point Road Wekota Beach Park is stocked with a supervised swimming beach in the summer , playground equipment , tennis courts and picnic tables . The park has unbelievable Lake Minnetonka views . Crescent Beach 240 Birch Bluff Road This Lake Minnetonka beach is joint-owned and operated with the city of Shorewood . In the summer , lifeguards supervise the beach .

The park , nearby city hall and the police and fire stations , hosts community events , such as music in the park and weekly farmers markets . Gro Tonka 17003 Prospect Place Minnetonka ’ s first park , nestled in a neighborhood , is home to a large field , hockey and ice skating rink , three tennis courts , play equipment and a softball field . Jidana 3333 Jidana Lane Jidana Park may not have a playground , but it boasts a dock and canoe landing on Minnehaha Creek , picnic areas and a popular summer day camp program . Libbs Lake Beach 16515 Park Lane This beach on Lake Minnetonka ’ s easternmost bay has a dock , shallow swimming , fishing deck and picnic areas . Minnehaha Creek Headwaters Park 16505 Grays Bay Blvd . A visit to the Minnehaha Creek headwaters showcases the Gray ’ s Bay dam , fishing and signs that tell of local history and environmental facts . Minnetonka Mills Park 13209 McGinty Road East This park , featuring the Charles H . Burwell House , is the only site in the city on the National Register of Historic Places . It is located on the banks of the Minnehaha Creek , with boardwalks , botanical gardens , nine acres of natural forest and stone art . Purgatory Park 17315 Excelsior Blvd . Purgatory Park is the largest Minnetonka city park at 155 acres . It has more than 2 miles of trails and includes picnic areas , with views of Purgatory Creek and expansive open spaces . Shady Oak Beach 5200 Shady Oak Rd . This 85-acre , fully recreational area offers a sandy beach shoreline and great amenities including a multi-age playground area , lifeguards , swimming , high dive , concessions , changing area , sand volleyball and rentals for canoes , kayaks and stand-up paddle boards .
