Stand UP South Africa takes you on a journey through a summer of service , cross-cultural exchange , and adventure . The heart of the experience is a week-long volunteer project working with children from a village near Cape Town . This moving community service experience is both personally rewarding and an opportunity to see the world from a new lens . On this program , you will connect with Jewish teens from Cape Town , learn about the Anti-Apartheid Movement , see great white sharks in their natural habitat , and go on an authentic safari .

STAND UP NICARAGUA

You ' ll spend your summer living and giving in the heart of Central America . On Stand UP Nicaragua , you ' re immersed in a colorful new culture – experiencing a different way of life and contributing to the betterment of the community on volunteer projects with an ecological , educational and sustainable energy focus . We ’ ll explore Nicaragua ’ s lush jungle landscapes with hiking , biking , rappelling and kayaking adventures along the way . Note : A basic knowledge of conversational Spanish is preferred , but not required .
STAND UP THAILAND
Thailand Grades 9 – 12
15 days $ 3,850 July 3 – July 18 Service : 36 hours
Experience 15 days in one of the most dynamic countries in the world . The history , beauty , and culture of Thailand will come alive as you travel between the modern metropolis of Bangkok to the remote mountain provinces of Northern Thailand . You ' ll engage in meaningful service projects with the Karen tribe , work on agricultural sustainability issues , and teach children in Bangkok . Plus , you ' ll experience amazing adventures , such as visiting with elephants , rafting the Khud river , a jungle zipline , visiting the Grand Palace , cooking lessons , and more .
