KILMARNOCK CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS
CAMPUS NEWS
We launched This Ayrshire
Girl Can on International
Women’s Day and the
purpose of this is to
encourage and empower
women into areas such
as STEM, sport and
construction. The video
will be available to view
soon. This campaign has
been supported well
and is being recognised
nationally.
As you’ll read later in
the Student Voice, 38
students form Townholm
Campus attended the
Association of Colleges
Championships at Bath
University in March where
Emma Cook and Beatrice
Gabell won gold in the
women’s badminton.
The men’s volleyball
came 5th which was a
great achievement. The
most valuable players of
the weekend went to 2
Ayrshire College Students
Marc Ferguson and
Rebecca Johnston. We
also had representation
for women’s volleyball
and men’s football.
Kimberly Rafferty (HND
Sports Coaching and
Development) did a
great job being the team
mascot ‘Wolfie’ for the
weekend. This was a
great experience for our
students who have come
home with memories
that will last a lifetime.
Well done to all of the
participating students.
THE STUDENT VOICE: EDITION 4
We had a fundraiser
for Comic Relief which
was great success and
a lot of fun for the
students. This event
raised over £800 across
all campuses.
HAIR SHOW 2015
The hair and beauty students put on a fantastic show
at the yearly ‘Hair Show’ which was attended well and
thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. It was great
to see the students showing off all of their weird and
wonderful creations. View our photo gallery on p14.
