TEAM 150
Prince’s Trust Team 150 at Ayrshire College
celebrated the completion of their 12 week
programme with a lavish ceremony in the
Brig o’ Doon House Hotel.
Ayrshire College delivers the Prince’s Trust
programme for 16-25 year olds who are looking
to gain new skills, make new friends and improve
job prospects.
The ceremony was a double celebration to
mark the 40th anniversary of the Prince’s Trust
as well as the milestone of 150 successful Team
programmes delivered at the College.
The sun shone as the team arrived with their
friends and family. Wearing stunning evening
gowns and with dinner suits donated by Slaters,
everyone looked amazing. Each young person
was presented with a certificate and medal for
their achievements.

The team had played a role in the Royal Opening
of the Scottish Parliament as they were invited to
take part in the parade in Edinburgh and share
their experiences with leading politicians. They
also visited the Prince’s Trust in Glasgow to assist
with a visit from the First Minister, who took part
in workshops and enjoyed her time with them.
Throughout the 12 week course they completed
various team challenges. First up was a Military
Skills Day at Craufurdland Castle organised by
the Royal Regiment of Scotland. They took part in
Kay-Leigh Dobson, Team 150 participant, said “I
really enjoyed getting dressed up and attending
such a fancy event. I never got to my school
prom so this was really special.”
The team, made up of groups of students based
at the College’s Ayr, Kilmarnock and Kilwinning
campuses, showcased their achievements in the
