MESSAGE OF FAITH The advantages of an Intelligent Faith They are innumerous. But the main one has to do with conquering and preserving the eternal Salvation of the soul. How many have started well in the faith, but as time goes by, they become discouraged? How many swim, swim but unfortunately die on the beach? Why is this? Because, one-way or another, they were influenced by a feeling. Whether it’s feeling spiritually weak, feeling hurt by a brother in faith, a feeling of guilt, feeling of doubt, feeling of despise, this is, an infinity of feelings that have nothing to do with biblical faith. Biblical faith has to do solely with what is written in the Word of God. If you feel love, hate, desire to obey or disobey, it doesn’t matter. What counts is what is written. In other words: it has nothing to do with feelings. What God said or didn’t say must be obeyed, whether we like it or not, whether we feel like it or not… It has been a huge mistake to associate your faith, which is so rich, so precious and so valuable with measly feelings, like the ones of the corrupt and desperately wicked heart. It would be as if you wore the most beautiful clothes in the world to go crawfishing in the swamp… Through the prophet Isaiah, the Lord PROMISES: The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him (Jesus), the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Isaiah 11.2 Where are there feelings of joy or sadness; love or hate; regret or contempt in this Sacred Text? On the contrary, God is Wisdom, Understanding, Council, Might, Knowledge and Fear! When in church, he “feels” strong in the, but outside he feels weak. This means that the person whose faith is based on what he feels or doesn’t feel proves that his faith depends on feelings, and not on the obedience to the Word of God. It means that the faithful was never born of the Spirit. Through the prophet, the Lord said to Israel: “And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15 blogs.universal.org/bispomacedo/en/ STOP SUFFERING|11
