MESSAGE OF FAITH To use faith vs To consummate faith Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. James 2.22-23 We can use our faith in different ways: praying, fasting, attending meetings, learning and putting it into practice, forgiving, tithing, offering, evangelizing, etc., etc., etc… BUT, SINCE WHEN DID ALL THESE THINGS KEEP US SOLELY DEPENDENT ON GOD????? Never!!!!! This is why people say they have Faith, yet they don’t understand why their life does not change. We can (and should) use Faith every day! But there are times when we have to CONSUMMATE OUR FAITH, and there is only one way to do this– SACRIFICE. Sacrifice is the consummation of Faith! God, etc… then, according to the Bible, it is because they lack the CONSUMMATION of their faith through voluntary Sacrifice. According to the dictionary, consummate means: complete, finish, perfect. THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF FAITH, our LORD JESUS CHRIST, only after HAVING DONE ALL, FULFILLING the Scriptures, to SACRIFICE HIMSELF for us, he shouted: IT IS FINISHED!!! Why??? Because at that moment, HIS FAITH reached its peak, the extreme. There was nothing more to be done, it reached its limit, PERFECTION. To materialize our Faith, we have daily prayers, decisions, reading and meditations on God’s Word, daily meetings at the UCKG, but to consummate our FAITH – which only happens when we go to the EXTREME, leaves us completely dependent on God. If the Promise was not fulfilled in the life of those who claim they have faith, believe in blogs.universal.org/bispomacedo/en/ STOP SUFFERING|03
