anywhere in the world. I have good
relationships with the people I have
been working with over the past years.
Building friendship and trust is
definitely important in the music
business, it makes work fun.
go back in time, and what wouldn’t
you do?
-
I would not change a thing. I am
happy about the choices I made in the
past, I have no regrets.
-
What’s your relationship with the
guitar? What do you feel when you
play it?
-
It gives me a sense of peacefulness. I
love playing. It used to be that I would
feel frustrated at times for not being
able to do certain things I was
studying. Not anymore. I play with
more passion, and I only choose to
play songs I really enjoy. It’s almost
therapeutic for me. If I feel down, and
I start playing, jamming, composing...
I forget about all my problems.
-
You and your fans. What kind of
connection do you feel? Is there a
particular city or country that gives
you a warmer welcome? Do you
stay in touch with some of them
even after concerts? Did this job
give you the chance to create new
strong friendships or is it always
only about business?
-
I respect my fans so much. I never
forget that my lifestyle and my job
exist only thanks to them. I am myself
a fan, I regularly buy music and go to
concerts. Some fans, yes, became my
friends. We keep in touch regularly
and if there is a chance to hang out
together, we do it. As for particular
cities or countries, I do not think there
is one that stands out in terms of
warmth. Some nights are magical, and
there is no logical reason for it. Those
nights just happen, and it can be

Is there anything that you gave up
by becoming a professional
musician? Is there a wish or a
project that you’d like to work on in
the future, when you’ll have the
time? If you hadn’t become a
musician, what would you be doing
now?
-
Honestly, from a professional
standpoint I have no regrets. Music
has always been my life and I never
thought I would be doing anything
different. From a personal standpoint,
I do have some regrets, though. I wish
I had dedicated more time to some
people that stood beside me in the
past. My lifestyle can be tricky
sometimes... you give priority to work,
but in the meantime people around
you might be suffering, and you don’t
realize it. This might be the price to
pay for the career choice I made. If I
had done something else, I would
probably have become an architect. I
am a big fan of modern architecture,
starting with the work of Frank Lloyd
Wright and Le Corbusier.
-
How is the music business looking
compared to 10 years ago?
-
I don’t think there’s much difference.
Sure, the music industry is always
evolving, with ups and downs, but
people keep buying music, going to
concerts and bands keep releasing
albums and going on tour. Live music
