www.steelnotesmagazine.com Steel Notes Magazine Seattle band “Blue Helix “Aliens” Hearing that this band is from Seattle, leaves me already intrigued. A city that is the birthplace of many of my favorite artists, I anticipated an entertaining video and I was not disappointed. Filmed against the beautiful Pacific Northwest scenery, the video reminded me of early Soundgarden/Temple of The Dog video footage. The band’s sound is reminiscent of the 90s with a current edge. Vocalist, Sami Chohfi can definitely sing and is perfect in a front man capacity. I am looking forward to hearing more from these guys. Music Video Director: Asher Vast Denel, a young man from Auckland, New Zealand with his video “Imperfectly Perfect 2.0” is shot during a staged photo shoot. Coming from a film and photography background ,I first noticed the Arri lights before anything else! That being said, it seems there is an abundance of young people who seem to appear mature beyond their years. The video is a perfect accompaniment to Denel’s lyrics. While most photo shoots feature fashion models, Denel’s video consists of people who are imperfectly perfect which makes them beautiful. This young man sings about looking beyond the obvious to see the perfect ion in each individual. Music Video Director: Luke Thornborough Steel Notes Magazine www.steelnotesmagazine.com 117
