Everybody working on this project is a long-time
movie professional, so yes, they all knew what
this project would entail. People felt challenged
but not afraid that they would not be able to make
it happen. We actually all wanted to try something
different. Money was not a big problem, and in
fact we covered our expenses with the first 3
episodes. Also, it looked like critics liked our
work, based on their articles and comments,
which is great. As for working in a small town in
Italy, that actually was a voluntary decision as
well. Everybody had experience abroad
(California, France and many other countries), but
we really wanted to show that this type of project
could be done in Italy as well. Young generations
are losing hope on what can be done in their home
country and we wanted to prove that anything is
possible if you put your mind to it. Even if the
show ended up having no success at all, we would
still be happy and proud of our achievements.

Ideally we would need to find a channel that
agrees on co-producing the series. We would need
to find a way to get a good distribution channel as
well.
I saw the first 3 episodes and I noticed very few
dialogues. Was this intentional?
Yes, it was. The theme of the episodes is a dream,
where the atmosphere and environment are
supposed to matter more than the talking.
How did you find the actors? Are they from
Veneto or do they come from other regions?
They are all from Veneto. We had a very clear
idea about whom we wanted to get in the cast. We
really wanted to get the right people for the
characters we created, and we were able to do that
pretty effortlessly. Some of them never did
cinema before, but they were able to contribute a
lot to the series.
The extras that never acted before: did they
have a hard time or did they pick up their
parts fast?
We trained them and explained them the main
techniques we wanted them to use. The talking
parts were really short, which made things easier.
Also, they were so passionate about being part of
the project, that everything went great.
How did you guys handle the fact that you had
to spend your free time to work on this
project?
Yes, we all worked after our regular work hours
or during vacation days. We really were lucky,
though, because many locations allowed us to use
their spaces for free, which made things easier.
We found a lot of supporters who helped, given
that they liked what the series was about.
What about testing the interest of local tv
channels?
So now to proceed with the additional episodes
you need financial support. Who are you
connecting with to get financial help?
Local tv usually have the same palimpsest and
tons of commercials, rarely there's space for
this type of projects but I hope things might
change.
